There is an interactive online whiteboard, where documents can be uploaded in advance, but students and teachers can also annotate the board in real time. There is video and audio link integrated into the online whiteboard. This is so important, as it allows our experienced teachers to analyse the verbal and non-verbal interaction from your child, ensuring that our teachers help your child to make maximum progress.
All of our teachers have been personally interviewed and have enhanced DBS checks, to ensure your child’s safety.

Tutors: English Language and Literature
Hello, there! My name is Danielle and I am a friendly, highly experienced teacher of English. I love helping keen learners grow in confidence, ultimately achieving the highest standards they can. I will use my genuine passion for the written word and excellent academic subject knowledge to tailor my teaching to your current needs. Over the past sixteen years I have been privileged to have been able to help hundreds upon hundreds of young learners develop their enjoyment, skills and confidence in English Language and English Literature, and therefore achieve success. I have experience of a variety of educational settings, including the state sector as well as the independent, and teach the full secondary age range - from Key Stage 3 through to A Level. As a current examiner of GCSE Literature and with past experience examining different specifications for GCSE Language, GCSE Literature and AS Level Language & Literature, I have an extensive knowledge and understanding of what is required to secure good grades.

Tutors: Biology and Psychology
After finishing a Physiology degree at Newcastle Unit I took my PGCE at Oxford back in ‘92. I have been teaching Biology for over 25 years using different exam boards in a variety of schools (boarding, day, all boys, all girls, Co-ed) but the one thing they had in common was students wanting to achieve their very best. I often do 1:1 or small group work with students. This might mean tackling a tricky topic, working on Lab books, making revision materials or exam technique practice. I have been an examiner for AQA, both GCSE & A Level and moderator of practical for Edexcel. My interests are History of Medicine, Food Science and etymology. In addition to Biology, I also offer help with the Maths & Biology aspects of Psychology A Level and UCAS, whether that be preparing for an MMI or writing personal statements.
KS3, GCSE and A Level Biology and A Level Psychology
Hello, I’m Katy and I have been teaching Biology for 9 years and have also been an examiner for a GCSE Biology paper. I have taught a variety of age ranges from Year 7 to Year 13 and have taught all three sciences at Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
I am offering tuition in Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level Biology
Our Students Say
Claire from Whitburn
With all the current changes at GCSE we were really worried about our daughter’s progress in chemistry. Teachers at her school seemed so stressed about all of the new teaching and our daughter was worrying too. We turned to Caroline for some extra help because of her excellent reputation and literally breathed a sigh of relief.5
Ruth from Sunderland
Expert Teacher Tutors boosted my confidence and improved my subject knowledge, focusing on topics I was less confident with by approaching topics in a different way so that I was prepared and ready for my A Level Chemistry.5
Alison from Sunderland
Expert Teacher Tutors helped my daughter with some revision sessions prior to her GCSE Chemistry exam. The sessions were invaluable and helped her to develop her subject knowledge and also her confidence when answering higher mark questions. My daughter was also given help to make revision materials which helped her to visualise difficult content.5
